    WASHINGTON, D.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 8, 2005--Avid Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:AVID) President and CEO David Krall will keynote the Super Session "Look Before You Leap: The Dollars and Sense of Transitioning to HD" April 19 at NAB2005 in Las Vegas.
    In his Super Session keynote, Krall will help professionals navigate the HD production landscape by discussing the evolution and continued proliferation of HD content in the film, television and broadcast industries. He will discuss topics that relate to the investment challenges to consider when moving to HD; the implications of deploying HD workflows that involve capturing and editing, asset management, and output; and the ROI associated with upgrading content-creation infrastructures to support HD production.
    Following Krall's keynote address, the Super Session will include a panel discussion moderated by Adi Kishore, senior analyst, media & entertainment strategies, at the Yankee Group. Other confirmed participants include Andy King, head of capital development, BBC Resources; Billy Baldwin, president, PostWorks; Roger Ogden, senior vice president of Gannett Broadcasting and president and general manager for KUSA-TV, Denver; and Gavin Schutz, executive vice president and chief technology officer, Ascent Media Group.
    Krall joined Avid(R) in 1999 and was named to his current position in April 2000.
